Hello I’m Elisha!

Elisha Illustrates is the bright and colourful scribbles of Naarm/Melbourne-based illustrator and visual artist, Elisha Labriola. What began as a creative escape during the 2020 lockdowns has since blossomed into a full-time passion for Elisha, who now creates colorful and eclectic collections of stationery, fine art prints, and homewares for fellow lovers of all things bright and joyful.

From iPad to Pottery 🌈

Elisha's artistic journey started with a spontaneous purchase of an iPad during Melbourne's first lockdown. What initially served as a distraction from isolation quickly became her calling. Over time, she expanded her creative pursuits to include hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery, incorporating her signature vibrant designs onto each unique ceramic piece. "I had always wanted to try pottery and after my partner gifted me a pottery course, I became obsessed”. Each piece is one of a kind and curated with love!

Nature, Nostalgia, and Pets

Inspired by nature, nostalgic memories, and her beloved pets, Elisha's designs are a reflection of her surroundings and experiences. "My cats and bunny inspire me daily. Their movements and the colors in their eyes spark ideas for new palettes and compositions." The lush native flora around her home also provides a rich source of creativity. "Whenever I'm stuck, I step outside. The colors of Australia's nature are so beautiful—they always help me reset and find new ideas."

Crafting with Color and Memories

Elisha’s love for nostalgic objects, such as cassette tapes and rotary phones, adds a personal touch to her art. "Drawing things from my childhood, like Barbies and cassettes, brings me joy and allows me to relive some of my favorite memories while creating new pieces."
